Google has announced the release of the Google My Business APITrack this API version 4.3 including new functionality such as the ability to read and respond to questions and answers from customers, bulk-read reviews, see unclaimed locations that Google thinks you may own and more.
Google My Business is a platform that allows businesses to create and update their profiles so that they can appear on Google Search and Google Maps. The My Business API allows developers to build applications that can pull business location information directly from the platform. In addition users can manage multiple business locations from within their own systems.
In addition to the changes mentioned above, new API functionality includes: the ability to report issues with GoogleLocations results, provide captions when uploading new media, retrieve the number of times a location was shown as a result of a search for the chain it belongs to and more. A full list of updates can be seen on the change log.
Interested developers can view the full documentation on the Google My Business API portal.
