Google Updates Reporting Metrics for its Ad Manager API

Google has been regularly updating the Google Ad Manager API and this week brings news of additional changes. This latest update provides developers with new metrics for Programmatic Guaranteed and Preferred Deals. The company made the change to increase uniformity of reporting metrics across transaction types.

Starting April 1, 2020, Programmatic Guaranteed and Preferred Deals will now receive reporting on net revenue instead of gross revenue. Google noted that to help developers v202002 has been updated to allow you to report on gross revenue. The company understands that this may be important for historical comparison.
