Instagram Adds Direct Video Scheduling Capabilities to its Content Publishing API

Instagram has updated the Content Publishing API, a subset of the Instagram Graph APITrack this API endpoints, to allow members with business accounts to schedule the publication of video content. Until recently, only direct photo publishing was available through the API.

Instagram first announced the Content Publishing API in early 2018, providing business partners with a small set of tools for scheduling content publication on the platform. The capabilities were limited at first, only photos and no hashtags or location tagging capabilities. Although these functions were slowly added, video scheduling had lagged behind, until now.

The API is still in closed beta, and as such only Facebook Marketing Partners and Instagram Partners are can utilize this functionality. Developers looking to get started with this functionality can check out the documentation here.
