Close on the heels of API Hackday to be held in Portland, comes another App Hackathon, this time in the Bay Area. The AT&T Mobile App Hackathon invites mobile developers for a day of learning, networking and building mobile applications.
The Mobile App Hackathon is organized under the AT&T Developer Program and will be held on August 6 at the PayPal HQ in San Jose. The event kicks off at 9:00 AM and you need to submit your application by 6:00 PM. This is followed by demos and the announcement of winners.
The event requires that you create your mobile applications in any of the 3 categories, with prizes for each :
- Windows Mobile 7
- Mobile Web
Though the hackathon is focused on mobile, we expect APIs to play a big role. After all, mobile and APIs go hand in hand. The event is sponsored by API players, including some providers that include the PayPal API, Box.net API and DocuSign API.
