MuckRock, a non-profit government document sharing provider, has announced a new version of the DocumentCloud API. The API gives users access to every functionality and feature available through the DocumentCloud web interface. DocumentCloud helps journalists organize and track documents.
The new API is currently in beta. The MuckRock team is actively engaged in helping users transition to the new API. It is actively soliciting feedback, but also wants to assist with integrations where possible.
The API is RESTful and includes a long list of endpoints that allow developers to perform functions such as list documents, create documents, bulk update documents, partial update documents, delete documents, search documents, update documents, process documents, and more. The API also includes many filters that allow users to organize projects as needed. To see all features of the new API, check out the release notes.
