The Sydney Battle Hack taking place July 26 and 27th at Luxe Studios and Productions in Sydney, Australia is bringing a lot to the table. Looking to enable innovation without taking equity from the companies, the hackathon is geared toward assessing API Integration.
During the hackathon, which is part of the global Battle Hack, developers must build a mobile application that solves a problem of their choice. The application must incorporate PayPal’s API or the Braintree SDK. The winner of the event will be then compete for $100,000 in the Battle Hack final at PayPal’s headquarters.
The 2013 Battle Hack took place in 10 cities around the world, which brought in 2,000 competitors. This year, first place isn’t the only result to get a price. Other prices include a Sony PS4 and Polaroid cameras.
