Pusher Partners with API Providers, Releases Free Subscription Package for Developers

Pusher, a London-based real-time technologies service provider, has announced that the company has partnered with a number of API providers to release the Pusher Developer Package, a free subscription package for developers. At this time, the package offers 13 free services, and among those services are data storage, authentication, hosting, real-time communications, and search.

According to the press release, the Pusher Developer Package is one of the ways the company is giving back to "its developer community around the world." With this package, Pusher aims to help developers build great applications quickly, and is providing developers subscriptions to APIs that will save them "a $10,000 investment in their technology stack." To provide these savings, Pusher has partnered with 13 service providers which includes ButterCMS, DataDog, MongoDB, Nexmo and SendGrid.

"We are expecting our Developer Package to be a great go-to resource for developers who are either freelancing or working in smaller companies or startups," said Zan Markan, Developer Evangelist, Pusher, in a prepared statement. "As Pusher is a company built by developers for developers, we know the key struggles developers go through when starting to build their projects and getting them to market. This is why we want to enable them to have access to the resources they need to build great products and focus on innovation rather than worry about infrastructure."

Developers can claim free credits and subscriptions for the APIs they would like to use in their apps. Some of these credits and subscriptions are available to developers to claim during the month of June, and some offer free subscription services for up to 1 year.
