RingCentral Launches Embeddable Platform and Compliance APIs

RingCentralTrack this API, cloud communications company, recently announced RingCentral Embeddable and additional APIs to better integrate communication functionality into existing systems. RingCentral Embeddable allows users to integrate voice and text functionality into third-party apps in a matter of minutes. The new e-Discovery and message retention APIs allow administrators to extract and report on communication-related data within their systems.

“Today’s global, mobile, and distributed enterprise workforce is inundated with multiple applications that cause unwarranted distractions by having to toggle between applications,” Kira Makagon, RingCentral executive vice president of Innovation, commented in a press release. “With the new RingCentral Embeddable and open APIs announced today, enterprise customers can embed communications into their business-critical applications and enable their workforce to be more productive.”

With RingCentral Embeddable, users gain access to voice and SMS messaging within third-party apps. The platform uses the same UX and QA utilized within RingCentral's own call and text offering which makes for enterprise-grade quality and simple integration. Additional features include account record screen pop for inbound calls, click-to-call, click-to-SMS, and softphone capability. These in-app features eliminate the need for employees to jump from app to app.

The e-Discovery API allows admins to generate reports of all communication data. Data sources include SMS, chat, MMS, voice mail and fax. Administrators can track and report according to compliance guidelines. The message retention API allows admins to extract messages that are needed for compliance reasons. RingCentral Embeddable and the new APIs are available now on a global basis.
