Strike Expands Access to Its API Platform Via New Early Access Program

Strike, a cryptocurrency wallet provider leveraging Bitcoin’s Lightning network, has announced a new API Platform that is intended to service the digital payments and online marketplace industries. The company is touting an initial partnership with Twitter. 

In regard to the Integration with Twitter, Strike’s API is enabling a portion of the functionality that powers the social media company’s new Tips feature. Now end-users will be able to directly tip Twitter accounts via cryptocurrency without leaving a user’s profile. Strike Founder and CEO Jack Mallers stated in the announcement that:

“Today, with the Strike API one of the world’s largest internet companies becomes interoperable with the world’s largest global monetary network making payments everywhere in the world cheaper, faster, and unlocking a whole new set of payment use cases never seen before.”

In order to expand access to this API infrastructure, Strike has announced a new early access program that will allow companies globally to access the technology.
