Maintenance Assistant Releases MA Connect API
Cloud-based Maintenance Assistant, a provider of software to oversee machines running smoothly, has created the MA Connect API to integrate those capabilities into third party Apps. The idea is to facilitate the interaction between software and hardware so that it is automated.
As President Daryl Sedgman commented, one objective is to make it possible to build apps for Maintenance Assistant fast:
We’ve been working closely with our beta customers and partners to develop our MA Connect™ API and have created an elegant solution to integrate our CMMS into existing corporate infrastructure, unlocking its true power. In addition, with the release of MA Connect™, developers or even start-ups will be able to quickly and cost effectively build their own CMMS on top of our platform to address new markets.
Walking that tricky line to ensure accessibility combined with security, the API was built with several SDKs in mind. Developers, who can create a sandbox account for building their own applications, have a large market in front of them as the range of machines managed by software is increasing exponentially.
SOA Software Becomes Valued Microsoft Solution Partner
API management leader SOA has received the CIO Magazine award as one of the top 100 most promising Microsoft solution providers. Roberto Medrano, EVP of SOA Software states in the press release that the CIO Review Award represents the judgment of a panel of CEOs and industry analysts, explaining,
We help our customers with digital business transformation by enabling them to securely externalize and share their services as APIs for consumption within mobile apps or other digital channels. Microsoft is one of the key technologies in the enterprises and SOA Software can turn their stack into a driver of new digital initiatives.
SOA recently released Intermediary for Microsoft to expose a back end Microsoft service as an API. This offers a management tool for a variety of Microsoft environments.
