Twilio Adds OpenAPI Specification Beta

Twilio has announced that it has open-sourced the beta release of OpenAPI specifications for all Twilio APIs in an attempt to facilitate language-agnostic development on the Platform. This new offering Builds upon the existing libraries that Twilio supports for popular languages.

With this announcement Twilio is highlighting the functionality that is provided along with the availability of OpenAPI specifications. The company calls out simplified client Library generation using the open-sourced OpenAPI generator in order to avoid the need to write complex methods and functions. Additionally, Twilio notes that mock testing is dramatically simplified with this addition. Developers can now easily set up a mock server via Docker or similar.

Twilio has also added support for Postman and developers can check out the Twilio Postman Collection page.
