Vonage, a provider of business cloud communications services, has announced new functionality for their Verify API that aims to streamline the authentication workflow for the company’s partners. These updates include new authentication workflows and events, as well as custom PIN capabilities for more granular control over the authentication process.
The Vonage Verify API provides partners with an easy way to integrate two-factor authentication (2FA) into their customer verification process. Today Vonage is announcing new features to this platform, including custom PIN capabilities. Partners will now be able to manage custom PIN settings, providing “security-minded businesses with strict internal policies can now deploy Verify to their end-users even faster and with greater control.”
Roland Selmer, VP of API Product Management for Vonage noted that:
“The Verify API now not only gives customers the ability to authenticate end-users via their preferred channel, but to customize the failover workflow process with no coding or development required.”
The announcement also noted that these updates provide for a more holistic workflow, “... the service allows customers to prioritize their preferred channels and to customize the failover sequence for sending custom pin codes, driving higher conversions and higher levels of security.” Developers interested in getting started with the API should check out the documentation.
