Weather APIs and have been impacted by the shut down of the Yahoo! Geocoding API. Metwit has now announced the addition of a brand new feature to the Metwit Weather API: Push Weather Notifications.
IBM has announced that it is acquiring the digital and data assets of The Weather Company in a deal reportedly worth more than $2 billion. The acquisition will hing on IBM's ability to create value by applying Watson to The Weather Company's data to create predictive weather analytics solutions.
The Scout API, by T3, enables 3rd parties to take advantage of the context the company brings to advertising. Added to location sensitivity, which has been employed by the likes of Walgreens and others geofencing their stores, Scout brings weather, time, speed and orientation.
