This C# code is athenahealth's More Disruption Please API samples. The libraries are used to help facilitate access to the API. Each package has a naive implementation of using the API, as well as a library and a testing script to use that library. Athenahealth provides network-enabled services and mobile apps for medical groups and health systems.
We've added 6 APIs to the ProgrammableWeb directory in the Healthcare, Library, and Caching categories, among others. Included is BaasBox API, which allows developers to integrate a free, open source, mobile back-end platform. Here, we summarize the new additions and how they can assist developers.
With the proliferation of devices like Fitbit, a growing amount of health data is being collected about consumers. APIs allow for this data to be integrated with data from other sources into a variety of apps and platforms. Device makers Fitbit, Withings and Jawbone do this for the consumer market. Increasingly platforms like Aetna Carepass, Kaiser Permanente’s Interchange and Runkeeper’s Health Graph are showing that APIs can be used to create digtal health apps.
