Stronghold has released a set of APIs that developers can use to add to apps a variety of payment instruments including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Lumens. The APIs also allow apps to leverage Stronghold platform capabilities such as generate quotes, trade cryptocurrencies, and get available venues.
Global payments company Mastercard has announced that it will be opening up its internal blockchain API to developers. According to the company, the API, which is focused on B2B transactions, "Mastercard’s blockchain solution provides a new way for consumers, businesses and banks to transact."
Visa has opened the submission process for the next edition of The Everywhere Initiative. The next phase is open to startups in Australia and New Zealand that will respond to one of three challenges that use Visa APIs to improve commerce experiences. Visa will accept responses through August 26th.
