Pokémon GO has been hugely popular and generated millions of sessions around the world as people search for the digital creatures. But, it turns out that a fair chunk of recent API traffic has been coming from gaming bots that are making spatial queries to the API from outside of the game client.
Since Microsoft launched its Bot Framework earlier this year, it has consistently added features to empower developers to create, what Microsoft calls, "the next great conversational experiences." The latest API additions include the Computer Vision, Bing Speech, and Bing Image Search APIs.
CloudRail has released a new Unified Messaging API for deploying chatbots and other conversational user interfaces (UI). The API provides a unified interface bundling Facebook Messenger, Line, Telegram, and Viber together so that developers can deploy chatbots across these platforms.
