Facebook launched v2.8 of its Graph API. Highlights include Custom Open Graph and the Marketing API updates. Facebook will deliver more Common Open Graph action types to relieve developers from having to create custom graph actions and objects. Marketing API updates give advertisers more control.
This week, Amazon announced Subscribe with Amazon. The offering is a subscription service for sellers of digital products and services. Through a series of APIs, subscription sellers can use Amazon infrastructure to offer products and services on monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
The vast majority of analytics software is going to be consumed within another application, rather than exist as a stand-alone application. Recognizing this fact, analytics application vendors are racing to deliver robust sets of APIs around their applications that make it easier for developers to embed those capabilities within their applications.
