ShippingEasy consists of a cloud-based platform that allows online merchants to manage the processing and tracking of orders from a single interface. Merchants can integrate shipping information from multiple sites (e.g. eBay, personal site, physical warehouse, etc.) with the same interface and shop rates across various carrier lines. In addition to over ten existing integrations with e-commerce sites (e.g. Magento, eBay, Shopify, etc.), ShippingEasy offers a custom API that allows developers to incorporate the ShippingEasy platform into third party apps and sites.
When Google added transit directions to its Maps, it also created a format that allows any transit agency to be included. To date, over 400 have made their routes, schedules and fares available for the search giant using the GTFS feed format. As I lamented previously, very few of those feeds are available publicly. One developer decided to try and fix that and help transit agencies at the same time.
APM Terminals, a container terminal operating company, has launched the truck appointment API with the hope of improving its supply chain efficiency. At launch the API will have data for the API terminal in Los Angeles and plans are for data to become available for additional terminals in 2021.
