The Esri ArcGIS Runtime macOS Swift Sample Code by Esri provides demonstrations for deploying the ArcGIS Runtime SDK in macOS applications. It provides access to the ArcGIS Online base maps platform. Its functional mapping features span the maps, layers, edit data, search, geometry, 3D, and routes and directions domains, among others. Developers must have the onwards of xCode 8.0 and macOS SDK 10.12 to be able to work with the sample code. The sample code communicates with Esri arcGIS APIs.
Quandl Founder Tammer Kamel wants to create a new Wikipedia for Numeric Data. Quandl has built a sort of "universal data parser" which has thus far parsed about 2.8 million datasets without anything from any data publisher. As long as they spit out data somehow (excel, text file, blog post, xml, api, etc) the "Q-bot" can slurp it up. The result is quandl.com as sort of "search engine" for numerical data. Quandl's bot returns data in a totally standard format. The idea with Quandl is that you can find data fast, and it is ready to use.
Foursquare just made the switch from using the Google Maps API, to joining the crowd-sourced, global OpenStreetMap movement. To do most of the heavy lifting, foursquare relied upon the still fairly new MapBox API.
This is the final part of our series How to Add Postcode-Based Proximity Search With Open Data. After going through each of the steps, you're ready to build the app. In this part of our series we bring together the pieces and build a pub locating application that demonstrates how they work together.
