The Open API Initiative has announced that the final release of the OpenAPI 3.0 Specification is tentatively scheduled for release the week of July 17. A two-week last chance period will begin on June 19 giving developers a final chance to try out OpenAPI 3.0 and propose changes to the spec.
On Tuesday, the newest version of WordPress, 4.4, was released. It features a number of standard updates, such as a new theme, that are common in new WordPress versions, but the most notable update in WordPress 4.4 is the inclusion of infrastructure for the WordPress REST API.

This API provides access to tens of thousands of transcripts from some of the most popular programs on NPR.
