Mashery has expanded its API management solution to operate on-premise, within your company's firewall, with a new offering dubbed Mashery Local. Until recently, providers could only deploy Mashery’s API traffic management tools in the cloud. With the new Mashery Local customers has more flexibility, which could see more APIs from larger enterprises.
Hasura, a data access infrastructure company, recently introduced Hasura Cloud. Hasura Cloud provides secure and instant access to data across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. It uses the unified GraphQL API to achieve this cross-cloud capability. Hasura uses an API and security first model.
Cloud application platform, Heroku, has released the Heroku Platform API. The Platform API allows developers to extend its cloud platform to third party applications and services. With the release, Heroku hopes to inspire apps built upon the Heroku platform, Heroku-based developer tools, and an expanded Heroku ecosystem into additional web services. The Platform API developed from an internal API that Heroku developers used to build tools like toolbelt and dashboard. Heroku wants to empower its developer community with the same tools it created for in-house use.
