Google released an update to its platform-as-a-service (PaaS) platform, Google App Engine, by releasing SDK version 1.3.6. The latest SDK provides two key features, multi-tenancy support and High Performance Image Serving apart from several other requested features and bug-fixes.
The Currency Cloud, cross border payment as a service provider, has enabled developers to integrate international payment processing with an API: XBPConnect. Prior to the Currency Cloud, payment/invoice software required users to leave the platform and engage a third party to process an international invoice. The Currency Cloud allows cross border and multi-currency transactions from a single platform. The API allows developers to integrate the functionality into existing apps and platforms.
One of the more frustrating things about using business applications is they invariably impose some form of workflow that is baked into software. Vendors have long argued that these workflows are essentially amalgamations of best practices that the vendor has painstakingly aggregated while researching and developing the application.
