Microsoft's latest Azure Maps updates include many new features and a number of services that are now generally available. Azure Maps on Azure Government cloud, Azure Maps Batch services, and Azure Maps Matrix Routing are all now generally available. New features were added across the spectrum.
On its Geo Developers Blog, Google announced time zone functionality for the Google Maps API. Developers around the globe have exhaled a sigh of relief, as time zone functionality has either kept them up at night, required extensive programming, or remained just a bit outside of an apps functionality because it wasn't mandatory (but sure would have been nice).
Google Maps has implemented a much requested feature, draggable maps, into the Google Maps API. The feature has long been a part of the Google Maps site, but now developers can provide draggable maps for their users--and retrieve the results.
