Google announced earlier this month its plans to shutter Google+, its failed social network, after a second security breach exposed the data of millions. Along with the social network, Google plans to shut down the Google+ APIs on March 7, 2019. However, some APIs may stop working even sooner.
Facebook has updated an API used by third-party applications to that allowed for cross-posting. The change breaks this functionality and one of the biggest impacts was felt by Twitter. Twitter users will no longer be able to create a Tweet and share it easily to their Facebook page.
