Bigstock, a leading royalty-free stock photo marketplace and image community, has just announced the launch of a new API program. In addition, Bigstock has formed new partnerships with CafePress and Emma allowing both companies to make Bigstock images available to their users by integrating the Bigstock API with their platforms.
Recently launched, Everlapse, is a free iOS app for sharing images and slideshows. Communicating with images is already a winning formula in the world of social networking, but Everlapse makes it a little more interesting by providing something that is a bit more stimulating than just static photos, but not quite as complicated as videos. In a nutshell, it allows users to create and contribute to clips which are made up of various photos and displayed as a slideshow. By providing the Everlapse API, the company also makes it possible for developers to integrate this functionality with other applications.
Real-time network PubNub has solidified its move into the connected car market with a winning app designed for Ford. Announced at last week's Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the winning integration by PubNub took Ford's dashboard API and created a real-time dispatch app. ProgrammableWeb spoke with both PubNub and Ford about how developers are partnering with car manufacturers to build out the connected car ecosystem.
