New York City is probably best known for its skyscrapers and millions of people, not the trees that line its avenues. A new iPhone app goes out on a limb to give a little credit to the oaks and maples. And it's doing it thanks to open government data.
RentRent.org has announced the creation of an API that searches local Craigslist entries for rental properties including apartments and houses. This gives developers the ability to integrate rental searches with mapping applications and APIs (our RentRent API profile has details). Google My Business API version 4.1 includes five new features including merchant provided description, offer type posts, and customer provided media. Google also announced that agencies can now sign up for a Google My Business account which features a brand new agency dashboard.
