Twilio has launched the Message Feedback API which monitors when end users receive messages. The API tracks actions that indicate when a message was received and reports the action back to Twilio. In turn, Twilio can tweak its services and delivery to adjust for network variances across the globe.
After a year of beta testing its in-app messaging platform, Pusher has released Chatkit to general availability. Chatkit includes a set of APIs that comes loaded with a number of features that users have come to expect from any mainstream chat service (typing indicators, file sharing, and more).
Thirteen APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories including Financial, Messaging, and Augmented Reality. Highlights include the YellowSchedule API for scheduling and booking services, and the FaceX API for adding facial recognition functions to applications.
