It's all well and good having a beautifully designed website with all the bells and whistles, but if it never comes up in a search or no-one even lands on it, it's really just wasting valuable cyber space. Web analytics platforms help to provide insight as to what kind of traffic a website is actually getting, and in turn, helps website owners or developers to make any necessary adjustments to increase traffic and user interaction. Positionly is one of these web analytics platforms. Positionly also provides the Positionly API that makes this functionality available to developers who may want to integrate it with other applications.
Search engines such as Google have been making life a lot easier for developers. They have huge development resources that startups just don't have, and when they make their APIs available, everyone benefits. But when it comes to using APIs, especially AJAX APIs, it can be a challenge for developers to use these in a search-friendly way.
In response to much feedback from the developer community, Microsoft has revamped the Bing Search APIs with a long list of new features. Not only do the new features expand the possibilities for using Bing within an app, a modern architecture should streamline integration and ease maintenance.
