Last year, dating app OKCupid removed the ability for its users to view who had visited their profiles, but a developer this week revealed that visitor data had still been available via OKCupid's Visitor API. In a blog post, Zack Whipkey detailed how he was able to access detailed user information.
Personalization tools have long existed allowing marketers to custom tailor online marketing to consumers. However, business to business marketing has eluded personalization tools until Demandbase created its Real-time Identification service: a "service [that] bridges the gap between known and anonymous web visitors by identifying and segmenting the companies visiting a website, and providing detailed, targetable business attributes in real-time." Now, Demandbase is making its Real-time Identification platform available to third party developers via an the Demandbase API.
Ducksboard, a real-time data monitoring and visualization platform, will be adding new services to the widgets directory and extending existing services in a matter of weeks. The new integrations will include LinkedIn, Flurry, Realtime Google Analytics and Trello. The company is also working on a brand new interface and are planning a closed beta the first quarter of 2014. The Ducksboard platform features the Ducksboard API which allows developers to send their own data, retrieve data stored, and manipulate all objects found in Ducksboard.
