The SupportBee API is REST with response format in JSON that supplies help desk ticket software for customer service, service that is provided by human responses. With the API, developers can create new applications that integrate SupportBee into their software. Tickets can be created, retrieved, searched, archived and unarchived, assigned to a user or group, starred for later follow up, and marked for spam. Users of the company (who respond to the tickets) are confirmed.
Intuit, maker of popular finance tools (i.e. Quicken, Quickbooks, FinanceWorks, FinanceWorks), announced the upcoming release of an open API and challenged the developer world: "Wanted! The Next Killer Finance App." Intuit President and CEO, Brad Smith, commented: "We're committed to unleashing the power of many to continue creating innovative solutions that improve people's financial lives." In a nutshell, the API will deliver the financial transaction data from thousands of financial institutions in a categorized format.
Google Moderator is the sort of tool that deserves an API. The platform to collect audience ideas and gauge interest is used widely internally at Google, as well as being available to anyone. It is no longer limited to web browser use, as it now has an API (our Google Moderator profile).
