The Google App Engine team has been consistently rolling out a new release every month recently. They have become so consistent in doing so, that new releases probably do not make that much of a splash. However, the team has pleasantly surprised everyone by delivering on one of the most requested features that developers had asked from their PaaS platform: Search. Yes, you read that right.
Carroll Publishing, a government contact data-delivery service, recently published the GovSearch API, exposing the company’s directory of over 260K government contacts. The database includes contacts from over 40,000 government agencies.
Once the mouthpiece and aggregator of the blogosphere, Technorati lost its luster long ago. And now it's lost its API, too. The developer page promises a new API but also makes one thing clear: the old one is gone.
