Google has announced the upcoming shutdown of Google App Maker. Google App Maker is a low-code, G Suite development tool that allows businesses to fill gaps in their business workflows and operations. Google has cited "low usage" as the primary reason for shutting down the tool.
BioID has enhanced its biometrics as a service portfolio with the launch of its PhotoVerify API. Part of the BioID Web Services suite, the PhotoVerify API compares a live image against a photo ID to verify identity. The API approach lowers time and cost associated with advanced identification.
TokBox, the web-based video chat and conferencing application, has announced a change in directions. Its popular TokBox application shall cease to be available and instead the company will focus on its OpenTok API, with all its energies on increasing API adoption with a developer contest to go along with it.
