Yahoo! offers a PERL sample code to demonstrate the interaction with API web services. This file downloads automatically to a computer and the contents include Perl class with test cases for Y! Mail and Y! Photos. Beginning 2015, Yahoo! will migrate projects from the previous API to IMAP service, due to popularity among developers and change to OAuth2. Bandwidth's SMPP-based SMS will be used to seamlessly connect with carriers in the U.S. According to the press release, Nexmo has become a new wholesale SMS customer using using short message peer-to-peer (SMPP) protocol. Line has released two new APIs that enable the messaging platform to better engage users without leaving the app. The Messaging API allows three new message types for chatbots to use. Line Notify allows third party services to send information to Line users directly within the Line platform.
