Twitter today said it plans to adjust access to two of its APIs beginning later this year. The rate limits, which will impact the User Timeline API and Mentions Timeline API, are meant to give Twitter better visibility into how its APIs are being used by developers to support other businesses.
One of the more interesting APIs added here recently comes from BT, British Telecom. It's not so much a single API but a set of early beta APIs code-named Web21C, part of their larger £10 billion 21st century network initiative called 21CN, an IP-based, multi-service network.
Nine APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories including Blockchian, Location, and Project Management. Highlights include APIs for Telestream streaming video platform and Skyhook location intelligence solutions. Here's a rundown of the latest additions.
