The Ruby SDK for AfterShip enables developers to integrate their web or mobile applications with the AfterShip service, to request information on shipment for their users. This SDK lets developers create, modify, and delete shipment trackings using different API calls. A number of different couriers are supported by the AfterShip service.
Who needs a tracking service when you can just hop on the USPS, FedEx, UPS, or DHL website (or whoever your carrier is) and just track? Maybe you. The Trackthis API integrates an amazing array of functions into your application. The API webpage lists over 10 carriers you can get notifications for.
It's not enough to print stamps off your printer any more. What shippers really want is what the SOAP-based Stamps.com API does: integrate that function of printing postage into your own web-based ecommerce or web hosted applications to speed up the shipment of orders out the door. With the API you can do much more than calculate postage and print stamps. You can clean addresses and track packages, among other tasks.
