Back in the day, you used to have to go through the arduous task of going out into the world, talking to a member of the opposite sex to determine common interests, and then make a leap of faith to begin the dating process. These days, thanks to the Foursquare API, we have a few apps that can help simplify the process.
Wishpot typically brings "lists" to mind. With Wishpot's original service, users could create a single wish list from multiple sites. The service eliminated the need for a new list for every site in which a shopper was interested. Wishpot has now expanded the wish list experience into a full shopping experience with a new API framework that provides true social commerce (shopping/browsing through checkout from the same platform).
Earlier this year, Google informed the world of its API go to market strategy surrounding Project Glass. Google has initiated its strategy with a private beta for the API, as well as an API name: Google Mirror API. The Mirror API, now in beta, will allow developers to create experiences for Google Glass. Google gave a live demonstration and overview of Project Glass and the Mirror API at SXSW.
