Singly has announced the open beta of its app connection platform. The platform consists of two main components (i.e. the App Fabric SDK and the Data Fabric infrastructure). The App Fabric simplifies social data sharing and shortens time to enable functionality such as friend finding and login across multiple apps. The Data Fabric allows developers to integrate features like synching, data querying, intelligent indexing, instant push, archiving, and more.

Since then, Box has enjoyed nothing but success, and Box has announced that OneCloud has now surpassed the 1,000 mark for apps that integrate with the OneCloud ecosystem. With the announcement, Box reiterated the simple, straightforward goal it proclaimed with the OneCloud launch in 2012: "In March of 2012, we launched OneCloud with a simple, yet ambitious purpose: to redefine the way enterprises worked on mobile."

Life Fitness created LFopen to encourage app development around Life Fitness equipment. Currently, APIs exist to enable web based applications or mobile applications that pull data from machines.
