Forget famous names like Dropbox and Rapidshare. They've been eclipsed, at least temporarily as measured by the rate of sign ups, by Mega, the new cloud storage brain child of Kim Dotcom. Google Analytics is one of the most popular, and free, ways to track web site statistics. It is not uncommon for web masters to use Google Analytics to monitor several different domains, possibly using more than one Google account to do so. But while Google Analytics is a powerful tool, getting a concise overview of these separate statistics can be difficult. The folks at Trakken GmbH thought so too, and so they used the Google Analytics API to create Trakkboard.
As various services like Facebook deal with competitors by packing more functionality into their apps, those apps are increasingly experiencing usability issues. In the old days of the API economy, outside developers could leverage a service's APIs to build something better. But those days are gone.
