The official Backendless iOS SDK by Backendless calls the Backendless REST API which provides a platform to develop apps with. This platform includes services such as user management, app analytics, and geolocation.
Google App Engine has adopted the mantra of frequent releases and in keeping line with that, it announced a new version of its App Engine SDK. Like other recent releases, it included several bug fixes, but much more interesting are the new features it introduced, including automatic geolocation of users.

The interface was reverse engineered by a developer and today Instagram asked anyone using its private, unofficial Instagram API to stop. At the same time, it announced a beta public API would be coming soon.
