If you weren't at the #VegasHack public data hackathon on Saturday, February 23, 2013, you sure missed an “open data” great time. Vegas Hack and Code For America collaborated to bring a civic innovation hackathon for people dedicated to finding new solutions to address real issues in the community.
Previously we looked at APIs that readers follow the most using our tracking functionality. This time we measured the APIs readers show interest in by counting the number of times a user clicks an outbound link to a provider's site. This is a metric that may better signal developer interest.
Eight APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories including Location, Meme and Data. Highlights include an API that provides information about a user based on their IP address and an API for determining the best food choices for a person based on their health issues.
