MuleSoft Announces Anypoint Platform for APIs July Release which includes enhancements like a seamless unified platform, advanced identity management, and powerful analytics. The company describes the platform as "the only end-to-end platform to design, document, expose, manage and integrate APIs."
For at least thirty years, people have talked about the "paperless office." With cloud-based services, it may finally be possible. Yet, for many organizations, a major hang-up is contracts, which require ink signatures. In our first public API report, sponsored by DocuSign, we looked at electronic signature platforms. Specifically, we examined the features and developer friendliness of e-signature APIs, which allow non-ink signatures to be automated and integrated into business processes. Without a doubt, e-signatures are a growing field, as evidenced by the recent acquisition of EchoSign by Adobe.
One of the challenges with building an application these days is the number of dependencies that application will actually have on other applications. Ideally in order to know how that application will actually perform application developers would be able to test their application against the application it depends on running in production. The odds of that happening, however, are slim to none, especially if that other application is running as a cloud service that has to be always available to end users.
