Publisher Pearson recently launched its new API program with three of its top titles. The new platform provides a common set of tools that developers have grown accustomed to: documentation, sample code, app showcase, blog, forum and FAQs, for example. Pearson has a lot of content to pick from with its core offerings, as well as its numerous partners, and they decided to start by launching three very different content APIs: FT Press API, Longman Dictionary API and Eyewitness Guide to London API.
Eleven APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories including eCommerce, Messaging, and Privacy. Featured today are APIs for tracking time, enabling payment services, and adding reviews services to applications. Here's a rundown of the latest additions.
Cloudflare created a new platform for the creation and distribution of web app tools. The Cloudflare Apps Platform allows web app owners and developers to build, integrate, and distribute apps and tools across Cloudflare's global CDN. The company has also created a fund to get users started.
