One the one hand Big Data is supposed to be one of the best things to happen to IT since the invention of the database. After all, managing massive amounts of data should make IT more relevant than ever. But as Big Data continues to evolve it’s starting to look like managing all that data is beyond the scope of many IT organizations. As a result line of businesses are turning to raft of emerging Big Data services in the cloud that allow them to analyze massive amounts of data by invoking a relatively simple API.
Fourteen APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories such as Games, Location, and Security. One hightlight today is an API that provides player and game stats for the popular soccer battling car game, Rocket League. Here's a summary of the new additions.

The Response Tap API enables developers to include Response Tap's number provisioning, call features, and reporting features within third party apps. Response Tap's proprietary software allows companies to track a caller's actions on a website before, during, and after a call. Such tracking technology provides better understanding of marketing activities.
