The Count.ly C++ SDK by GithSystems allows API interaction with the aim to develop analytic applications and services. Resources include dependencies, limitation, building, and usage. HTTP and JSON are included. Pthread is the only language type that developers could require to work with the SDK.
In this post I'll describe how we planned, built and tested a truly real-time location-based game with Socket.io, Redis, Node.js, and what we learned along the way. Over the past few months, we've spent the majority our free time building a real-time game as a test for our location platform, Geoloqi. We call the game MapAttack! due to its map-based nature. Two teams compete to capture the most points on the gameboard. The gameboard, in this case, is the city streets of the neighborhood the players are in.
Most of us would know exactly what the phrases 'slug bug', 'punch bug' or 'punch beetle' mean. They're normally associated with sudden shrieks and a punch in the arm. I'm talking about that old car game that created hours of fun for any kid on a boring car journey. The object of the game was to be the first to spot a Volkswagen Beetle, call out 'slug bug' and punch the other player in the arm. Using Google Street View Imagery via the Google Maps API, Volkswagen has brought this much-loved, old tradition into the modern digital world. Now anyone, anywhere can play the game without ever having to be in a car.
