The Decibel C# SDK allows developers to query the Decibel API to return music metadata. Calls to the Decibel API are made through query objects, which take care of all the logic involved in running a REST query, including deserializing the results to handy result objects.
Spotify, the music subscription service that has been so popular in Europe, is now available in the United States. Spotify offers users the ability to stream limited hours of music for free or stream unlimited songs for a small fee, from a library of over 15 million songs. And while it has a Spotify API out of the gate, it comes with a catch.
In May, PW reported on Gumroad's API that aimed to simplify online transactions. Indeed, the earlier release did move Gumroad towards its goal: "to democratize the ability to sell stuff online." However, Gumroad's latest offer, Platform API, simplifies the online buying process even further. The earlier API required buyers to register for a Gumroad account and required the use of links. The Platform API removes the need for links and buyer accounts. Instead, an entire transaction occurs on the merchant's site.
