The Dwolla Python SDK by Dwolla allows to communicate with the API to implement real time payment features into applications. Installation is available via pip. Sample code presents how to obtain information about a basic account.
Twitter has started early beta testing for a new User Streams API. Currently the service is just for desktop clients, but it could eventually fuel other types of applications that need access to data in realtime. Similarly, the stream concept may be one we see used by other services.
Stripe announced a new Issuing API and Partner Program. Stripe’s new API provides infrastructure for issuing physical and virtual cards via a single API call. The new partner program aims to provide members with documentation and best practices, along with an avenue for promoting integrations.
FlightStats, leading provider of global flight information, has launched the FlightStats Flex APIs to put FlightStats' rich data in the hands of third-party developers. The product is a suite of APIs that allows developers access to a variety of flight/airport data (i.e. flight status in near real-time, flights in progress tracking, map-based tracking, flight schedules and availability, and airport information). FlightStats' data covers 99.5% of U.S. flights, and more than 80% of commercial flights worldwide.
