Four tech titans have announced the Data Transfer Project. The project is an open source, service-to-service, data portability platform. With the implementation of GDPR, and the increase need of consumers to retrieve and move their data, the Data Transfer Project looks to standardize the process.
Earlier this month, ProgrammableWeb reported that WSO2 had launched the WSO2 App Factory, a brand new cloud-enabled enterprise DevOps platform that allows project teams to collaborate on the creation, deployment and management of enterprise applications. WSO2 has just announced the launch of another brand new platform; the WSO2 User Engagement Server (UES), a platform that allows developers and enterprise professionals to create customized dashboards, microsites and gadgets with enterprise data and 3rd party data sources which makes it possible to convert volumes of data into valuable business insights and to create engaging user experiences.
There’s a lot of focus these days on securing applications and the devices that consume them. But when it comes to all the layers of software in between that enable all the applications to be consumed, security has largely been an oversight.
