Payments NZ, a governance organization that helps oversee New Zealand's payments system, has announced a pilot of two new open banking APIs. One will allow developers to access account data and the other will allow developers to connect directly to banks to make credit payments.
Stripe, a provider of a payment processing platform, is launching an embedded finance API called Stripe Treasury. The new API will allow partners to embed banking services into their platform or online marketplace in order to create bank accounts, store funds, move money, and pay bills.
Sixteen APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories including Climate, Payments, and Database. Highlights include an API for searching music libraries by mood, genre, or BPM, and an API for compressing and optimizing images. Here's a rundown of the latest additions.
