Earlier this month Podio added Google Docs support. Now the collaboration platform has added another line to its file upload dialog. As we pointed out earlier, there's plenty of room for further file integrations. There is also an opportunity for Podio to expand its Podio API to allow developers to do the work for them.
The company tracking cloud spending will now let you spend money on its service. Cloudability believes that with more businesses are moving to the cloud, monitoring the costs is becoming important. Now it's put a price on that importance, including a free plan that will track up to $2,500 per month on more than 80 services, including AWS platforms like Amazon EC2. Of course, there's a Cloudability API so you can get at your data however you want.
At Google I/O, the developer conference in San Francisco taking place this week, the search giant announced a Siri-like service, Google Now. Users can ask questions and get answers directly in what they call "smart cards." Those cards, with flight delays and sports scores, update automatically. And you'd better believe that within each of these cards is an API call.
