In 2016 Google released Quick, Draw!, a digital version of Pictionary that uses machine learning to guess what users are drawing in their browser. Google is now providing the entire data set behind this algorithm as an open source API, allowing developers to research the way people draw.
The stakes for Machine Learning APIs are increasing by the day. Major vendors are making moves towards releasing ML platform APIs. One such release is the Cloud Natural Language API, an API from Google that provides devs the ability to investigate the structure and meaning of text via REST APIs.
