Photo Hack Day 4 erupts April 6th, and runs nonstop through the weekend. The first Photo hack Day brought together photographers, web designers, photo editors, and computer scientists for the first image-centric hackathon. Since the original 200 hackers threw together almost fifty mashups in a single weekend (two years ago), Photo Hack Day has blossomed in number, creativity, and excitement as it readies itself for a fourth rendition. Lead sponsors Aviary and Facebook look forward to "[a]nother full weekend of photo centric awesomeness."
You-Tracker.com offers a free web service that allows websites to resize images to a specified height and width. Programmatic access to the service comes through the You Tracker Image Resizer API. The service allows users to preserve image quality percentage, aspect ratio, and can prevent enlargement. The API eliminates the need to manually resize images and users need not wait for images to load.
As image recognition technology has emerged, there are numerous uses and services available across almost any industry. CamFind CEO Dominik Mazur offers his insight into how image recognition can be used by businesses today.
